Meet Mama Bustani

Hello, I am better known as Mama Bustani. Having lived outside my beloved homeland, Kenya, for much of my life, my heart has always remained here — in the land of red earth, open skies, and boundless beauty.

Though I left at 21 to study abroad, I returned whenever I could, each visit reminding me of the serenity and warmth of home. Years later, when I retired, I knew I wanted to create a space where others could experience the same peace — a haven to reconnect with nature and soul.

The journey began with Bustani Organic Farm on Kamata Street — the first seed of what would blossom into Bustani Luxury Cottages. Only five cottages were built, each designed to preserve intimacy, tranquility, and elegance beyond words.

Nestled at the edge of Tsavo East, Voi — home to the world’s red elephants — Bustani is more than a retreat. It’s an experience where elegance meets wilderness, where serenity and nature embrace.
